First record of the Mediterranean Fritillary Argynnis pandora (Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775) in Silesia

Argynnis pandora (Den. & Schiff.) was found in one specimen (female) at Vyšní Lhoty near Frýdek-Místek (GPS: 49°38’36”N, 18°27’47”E). This is the first record of the species from Silesia and one of the most northern records in Europe. The species is not autochthonous in the region, it was an accidental occurrence, which has been increasing in Moravia in the last decade.
