A new locality of Gagea bohemica in the Záhorská nížina lowland (western Slovakia)

A new, previously unknown locality of Gagea bohemica is reported from the vicinity of Sekule village in the Záhorie region, western Slovakia. The finding represents sole extant locality of this endangered species in the territory of Slovakia western from Bratislava. Ecology, taxonomy and phytogeographical affinity of the new population are further discussed.
