A new record of the Yellow-spotted Whiteface (Leucorrhinia pectoralis, Odonata: Libellulidae) in the district Vsetín (Eastern Moravia, the Czech Republic)

The report gives new information on occurrence of the Yellow-spotted Whiteface (Leucorrhinia pectoralis, Charpentier 1825) in the region based on an observation of 3-4 mature mates at abandoned gravel pit near the Choryně village (Eastern Moravia, Vsetín district) on 15.vi.2012 at altitude 270 m a. s. l. The record documents the importance of abandoned gravel pits for some dragonfly species.
