First record of assassin bug Coranus kerzhneri (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Reduviidae) in Silesia

Assassin bug Coranus kerzhneri was found in a former greywacke quarry in Litultovice in Opava region (GPS: 49°53’41”N, 17°42’55”E). This is the first discovery of this species in Silesia and the northernmost record of this species in the Czech Republic and also from the whole of Central Europe. The discovery represents first recent evidence of it‘s distribution outside the Pannonian region and proves its occurrence in localities with anthropogenic influence.
