The orb-weaver Gibbaranea ullrichi (Araneae: Araneidae) and other new significant records from the Váté Písky National Natural Monument

At the Váté Písky National Nature Monument, a population of the orb-weaver Gibbaranea ullrichi was recorded. This rare species can be overlooked due to living low above ground among sparse vegetation. The nocturnal collection using a torch seems to be suitable for recording many individuals of G. ullrichi. Trichoncoides piscator, Taranucnus setosus, Araniella inconspicua and Diaea livens are other rare species found for the first time at this locality.
