Tolmerus cowini (Diptera: Asilidae) – a new species of the robber fly for the Czech Republic

The robber fly Tolmerus cowini (Hobby, 1946) is reported for the first time from the Czech Republic. Distribution, habitat preferences and distinguishing from the closely related Tolmerus cingulatus (Fabricius, 1781) are briefly discussed.
